It provides diagnosis & assessment of eligibility, help plan, access, coordinatio n & monitoring services for patients with developmental disability. The organization was founded in 1974 and is based in Culver City, California.The regional center and the area board shall each appoint ½ of the membership of the committee. The committee shall consist of the regional center clients’ rights advocate, consumers, family members, and other advocates and community leaders. A majority of the committee shall be consumers and their family members.
