In a special meeting held on Wednesday night, Jan. 31, the Yorktown Town Board unanimously passed a motion to hold a special election on Tuesday, April 16 to determine who will replace Supervisor Thomas Diana, who died suddenly on Friday, Jan. 5 at the age of 66.
Diana died of a heart attack just four days after he was sworn into his first full term as supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Donna, daughters Megan and Brianna, their spouses, and grandchildren, Emma Marie, Gracie Lynn, Penelope Rose, and Daisy Row.
