Recently mower was more difficult to start and was surging when idling (when the blade wasn’t engaged). I took air filter housing off and cleaned the carb and all the levers and connections near it with carb cleaner spray (worked great) as it had a lot of dirt and gunk on the exposed parts.Sometimes your engine surging can be caused by a loose carburetor.
