I went over the connections and saw the starter wire hanging by a thread and it was shooting sparks when i would turn the key. So I held the starter wire to the starter and it fired right up.

Hello folks. I am new the forum and need some help. I bought a 2006 500 carb ranger. It all of the sudden stopped running while my father in law was driving it. It ran fine before. It cranks over fine, has compression, has spark. I pulled off the fuel line to carb and turned it over and plenty of fuel supply.

If you do have a spark then pour some gas down the cylander and put back plug and see if it fires.Next step, remove the drivers seat.
