In the 20+ years I have owned this, I have replaced all the guards once and every 3 years I replace the sections on the sickle. I use bolt on sections and standard guards. I get the guards and sections at the local Farm and Home store. They still make 488's new. Re: NH 1465 haybine in reply to Larry , 03-27-2004 03:32:27. Larry, I assume it must be a 1465, as a 1495 is a self propelled haybine. The differences between the 2 are very little. Straight splined roll drives instaed of tapered as well as a spring loaded reel drive chain. The biggest differences are the paint and decals as well as the age.. Call mining
